Adding iAds free feature or no?

Just a curious questions does adding Apples iAd feature cost money to add?

I understand it is a way for app developers increase their revenue, but to even put that into your app do you need to pay for the feature?

It does not cost anything to add it to your app. Apple makes revenue from it by taking a slice of the revenue your app generates from using iAd. Others pay to have their products displayed in iAd.
