Development Tools Git Basics Working With Remote Repositories Cloning

Adding remote to a partner's github repo

I've cloned the repo, but I don't know how to add a remote to the original. Do I need to "cd" to the origin repo? How would I do this if I only have the git address?

Hi! It' will be very helpful if you share more specific information, such as: What repo do you clone? Local or remote? Where is original repo? On you local machine or remote server?

Please, describe step by step what have you done?
