Admin Area Forms Code Challenge // Task 2

Hi folks,

I'm stuck with the second task in the code challenge: Inside of the if statement, create a variable named "my_plugin_username". Assign it the HTML escaped value of the my_plugin_username input field.

I'm using this piece of code:

<?php

function my_plugin_options_page() {

    if (!current_user_can('manage_options')) {
        wp_die('You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.');

        if( isset( $_POST['my_plugin_hidden_field_submitted']) ) {
            $my_plugin_username = esc_html( $_POST['my_plugin_username'] );
        }
    }

}

?>

Every time I try to submit it, I get a bummer saying that esc_html should be called to sanitize the value of the my_plugin_username variable. I'm not really sure where my mistake is -- I did call esc_html, is there maybe a syntax error I don't see?

Any hints would be appreciated!

Birk

Believe it or not, the only thing you need to change is 'my_plugin_hidden_field_submitted' to 'my_plugin_hidden_field'. The first question in the challenge actually gives that as the name of the input field. I'm not sure why it allows the first question to pass with the error, but there you go...
