Advice for a mail app

Hey guys,

So iv'e decided to try and create my own mail app. I basically want to be able to give it all the basic functionality for a standalone mail app that accepts multiple email account types.

I've been looking around the web and definitely think it will be a tough learning curve as I'm new to SMPT and technologies like Mail Core. (Not even sure if ill be implementing it yet.)

Getting to the point, I was just wondering if anyone here has come across great how-to-create mail app tutorials or know of any resources / tips they can share with a mail newbie. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
