Advice for a wannabe Wordpress freelancer

Hi,

I want to build my own WordPress website for my coaching business and I want to create a portfolio career as a coach and WordPress developer. The idea is to offer web design and support for other coaches.

Which track should I start with? Should I go straight to WordPress or should I do front end or Web design first?

Thanks in advance.

Jana

Hi Jana,

It depends on what your background is. The Web Design track will teach you sound design principles that you will use to create quality websites. It would be a good launching point into WordPress Development if you have the time.

Thanks for the advice Dale,

I'm a content manager for a local authority so although I do work with websites and CMS's its not a creative or design led role. I'll look at starting with the Web design track to get the foundations.
