Advice on web design.

Hey everyone. I need some clarification. I'm doing a website design for a wedding. And some info I'm doing a good design or not.

I want to put the title "Howie & Faith's wedding." At the top take-up one quarter of the page, and then in the middle, put the navigation bar. Then leave the bottom empty.

Is that good design or is there a better way to do this?

It's hard to say without a visual, but I'm going to recommend a brand new version of The Principles of Beautiful Web Design. The eBook is soon to come I'm guessing.

I was on the fence, so went more traditional style of putting the header at top, but put in a lot of vivid colour.
