After completing the full stack JS course, should I have developed enough skill to get a job in the field?

I'm picking JS up rather quickly and enjoying it. I would like to get a job as a JS developer in the near future but how long would it take to get to the required skill level. When I'm comfortable with everything the full stack JS course has to offer, will I be good enough to get an entry level job in the field?

I do not have a background in JS but from what I have seen in various facets is there are jobs at different levels. I think you could easily get entry jobs but are you targeting an entry level job and salary or do you have a specific job in mind? There are projects large and small so I believe the answer depends on what particular job you might envision.

I would like to get an entry level job as a JS mobile/web app developer ASAP, just to get the experience and move onto bigger jobs with bigger companies from there.

I would honestly start looking at companies or projects that are hiring and find out what they education and experience preferences are. That will let you know what you need in addition to the training you are in if you need anything at all.

But what if I have an awesome portfolio website, projects on GitHub, a decent rank on CodeFights etc. Then surely someone would want to hire me if they think my work is good, regardless of my lack of formal education and job experience?
