Ajax - Front End track Question

I'm nearing the End of the Front End track but the Ajax Course is apparently being retired.

A pop-up comes up giving you a link to a newer/up-to-date version of Ajax and I did that one: it has 2 lessons of around 13-15 steps each.

My question is, after completing the " up-to-date " version of Ajax should I do the regular one that is being retired next February on the 5th, or just skip ahead to the next course?

The missing parts from the old one explain the JQuery ajax methods, and a new project with a flickr api. I'd still check it out.
