Alignment of parent bottom different

If i manually place my buttons on the screen to look as the examples do i get difference code, so I typed out your code n the example and my button sits behind the black nav bar at the bottom. Should I leave the code to where it was visually right for me or am I doing something wrong? My preview is using the Nexus 5 as the video states.

i had the same problem but if you zoom into the picture really close up you can be more precise with placement, kind of like Visio drawings. I am using Android Studio 1.4.
