Allison's grid - will it work for this site?

I'd like to build a page like this http://baxter5.com/new/img/template.jpg However; I don't know if that's possible with Allison's Grid.

I've been working on this for a while and can't get it to function. Is it just me or could it be the grid?

If you could let everyone know the specific ways in which the grid doesn't function, it could help everyone diagnose the problem. And you are using the grid from the Adaptive / Responsive site series?
