Always returns 0

I wrote this code for this particular challenge but don't understand why it does return the actual array length.

function arrayCounter(ar){

if(typeof ar === "string" || "number" || "undefined") { val = 0; } else { val = ar.length; }

return val; }

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi Tadas, you should have something like this.

function arrayCounter(array) {
    if (typeof array === "string" || typeof array === "number" || typeof array === "undefined") {
        return 0;
    } else {
        return array.length;
    }
}
