Am I ready to be a junior developer ?

Hi,

So I went for an interview last week, and I’ve had pretty good feedback from the recruiter. So will find out more on Monday, but I’m in two minds, A) I’ve got a full time job and B) I want to be a developer.

So b) is what I’ve been working towards since December along with my degree, and A) it’s a job with the same thing each day.

My mind is saying take a chance, and my sub conscious mind is saying don’t, stay at my job.

As I’ll be hired as a junior developer, I’m not sure what to expect. This is why I’m in two minds, do I take the plunge or not.

By the way this is for a php dev role

Without knowing your exact situation (the salaries of each job, other opportunities, kids, age, etc.) it is difficult to say.

However, my general life advice is always, Always, ALWAYS pursue what you think will make you happy. When you get there, carefully and objectively re-evaluate, then go after the next thing.

I say do it. Good luck!
