Am I using the len function right?

Can someone look at this and point me in the right path?

# exactly for what the question is asking for

    group_members = ", ".join(group_members) # this should go below the if condition, with not assigning to a variable instead printing
    if len(group_members) == 3: #this is correct
        print("Group {}: {}".format(musical_groups, group_members)) # this is complicating, not needed take this line oof
