Am I wasting my time learning web design?

To start my goal would be to land a front end development job. Yet every job I see posted for it requires a bachelors degree.

I would say that this could be useful if I was learning to work on my own projects or ideas or whatever, but I'm not really creative with programming at least I haven't been yet to come up with any website idea that could make me money, everytime I come up with something there is already 20 established websites doing the same thing.

So with landing a job in mind, am I better off just going to an accredited school? since it seems ill be needing a degree.

I have multiple degrees and as far as Im concerned, you can still get a great webpage or technical job without a degree. You do have to find a niche or something you are really good at doing...maybe you would do good in web pages, graphic design, front-end design, back-end design, or specialize in one software...just as long as can you be really good at something, then try to get a job through an internship. After youve gotten your skills, you can always take a college course so you can get an internship & you can put in your resume that you attanded college. A college class takes on average 4 months for 1 class...if you take 5 web classes and spread it out itt will take forever...Ive done it! By the time youre on youre 4th class, you wont remember much about the other classes. Thats why I love Treehouse...they cover so much in a short period, but the review things a lot and they make me feel like wow! thats cool! I learned that!
