I created a class with one method to calculate a score. But when i try to create an instance of this class the Activity.class I am in, says there is no such class.

What is the visibility of the class you have created? Is it public, protected, no modifier or private?
Anything no modifier or higher (protected or public are higher) should be fine for visibility so, let me know if this isn't the case for you.
