Hi Robert,

Could you take a screenshot of the time when your problem occurs. Were you able to create a new android project in the previous Crystal Ball / Fun Facts app?

Have you installed the ADT plugin for Eclipse incase you're using it?

I had an older version of Eclipse on my imac before I updated.

Yes i was able to create android project Fun Facts app in android studio.

That seems a bit odd. In android studio I'm not sure if there is an option for Java project. When I click new project is takes me directly to the android project naming dialogue box

Are you creating your master detail template example in Eclipse or Android Studio?
