android emulator crashing

hello tree housers,

i have downloaded all the necessary components for android development. When i attempt to start the emulator in the AVD manager, my emulator keeps crashing. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?

What are the settings of the emulator you are trying to start?

i actually figured it out but thanx Jonathan! I just needed to reduce the ram, i was trying to run it way too high!
