android emulator problem

Cannot launch AVD in emulator. Output: PANIC: HOME is defined but could not find Nexus_5_Edited_API_15.ini file in $HOME.android\avd (Note: avd is searched in the order of $ANDROID_AVD_HOME,$ANDROID_SDK_HOME.android\avd and $HOME.android\avd)

every time i launch the emulator i get this problem how do i fix it or otherwise is there a way to bypass it?

Hi Brendan,

I had a very similar problem and ended up having to uninstall and reinstall Android Studio to clear the error. I personally think that using Genymotion is a much better solution. In the event that you can't find another workaround, I would suggest that.

Thx Jess Will geny motion work the same as android studio and will the tutorials cover what I need to know for geny motion?

Genymotion is an outside emulator that you can use with Android Studio. Those tutorials should show you everything you need to know to get started, but there's also a ton of youtube videos that will too.
