General Discussion

Android Forum Support on Treehouse is Very Pooor.

Seriously, i think Treehouse should hire more support developers here to help beginners, There is absolutely no need of this forum is someone will keep asking questions regarding the course published here but No support team or moderator to help.

Really BAD.

tagging Ben Jakuben on this one.

you are not always guaranteed to get an answer here on the forum. Its important to remember that TTH is a learning community aimed at beginners. Some problems are difficult to answer and the users here may not have enough experience to answer. In my experience I have seen a lot fewer experienced android developers that frequent and post in the forum than there are experienced iOS, html, css and javascript developers. So thats probably a contributing factor as well.

Today is a holiday here in the states as well, so the staff members may not be working today. Ben is usually pretty good about chiming in on forum posts during the regular work week (Monday through Thursday for TTH)

If you think your question is rather advanced/specific or haven't received any responses its probably a good idea to tag the course instructor by typing @ followed by their name.

Its also a good idea to post to Stack Overflow so that your question will be seen by a much wider and more experienced audience. the community can be a bit elitist in my opinion but it can be a helpful resource for when you are stuck.

Hi Kriz, my Android knowhow is definitely lacking so I'm sorry that I can't help out. Moderators are all other students so their knowledge will depend on what they have chosen to study. I do notice a lot of unanswered Android and iOS questions.

If you're really struggling with a problem you could try tagging a course teacher in your question, or reach out to them directly on Twitter. You can tag someone by writing @ then start typing their name.

You might find the stackoverflow Android community more active.
