Android SDK 22.6 Upgrade appcompat_v7 Setup

I'm currently still using the Android SDK version 22.3 because after trying to successfully update my ADT a few times, I'm continuously running into issues when trying to create a new Android project and/or activities. An appcompat_v7 folder/project is created every time I create a new project and the fragment support is causing issues with every new Activity I create. I've tried to follow the documentation here (http://developer.android.com/tools/support-library/setup.html#download) to install a single appcompat_v7 library and reference that library through the build path with each new project, but that doesn't seem to be working properly. As I also mentioned, creating a new Activity is causing errors...most likely because I'm not handling the new fragment.xml files and related code correctly. Can anyone direct me to a good tutorial about project setups using 22.6 with the new support libraries or will new ones be posted here at Treehouse? Thanks.
