10,950 PointsAndroid Studio Emulator window is not movable
I am working on the building an interactive story app on the android track, reinstalled Android Studio, and launched the emulator from AVD manager. The only problem is that the window for the emulator isn't movable/it's as if the window is locked to the very top of the screen with no close, resize, or minimize buttons being shown. I'm on windows and I can't figure this out as it is pretty frustrating when I can't move the emulator out of the way while working.
I did notice in the bottom log window that it says: "emulator: emulator window is out of view and was recentered"
How can I get the emulator window to move? Thanks!

10,950 PointsThanks George. This works for moving it around, but I can't help thinking something isn't configured right. Why would the emulator window be locked like that? This didn't happen in an earlier version of Android Studio.

3,747 PointsClick on emulator, than press Alt+Space, than choose Move, than move with arrow keys

3,747 PointsWell to be honest, I had same problem and I could not solve it. Instead I went for Genymotion emulator, which works a lot better. You should really try it out! There is even a course about it on Treehouse

10,950 PointsThanks again George. Hopefully this "bug" will be fixed in future releases. I'm certainly going to use Genymotion, but I want to use the same tools Ben is using to follow along in the videos. Cheers!

3,747 PointsThere will be absolutely no difference for you if you change emulator in terms of following Ben :) It will just make everything faster and glitch less :) Gl there ;)
