Android Studio update made my studio not open anymore and says it needs to be moved (screenshot included)

Hey Ricky James

Did you get Android to work?

Ricky,

I just update my Androud Studio in Windows 8 so I could see what the problem is.

I followed the instructions from here which I found here.

Them I moved the SDK folder from:

C:\Users\Jeff\Software\androidStudio\android-studio-bundle-windows\android-studio\sdk

To:

C:\Users\Jeff\sdk

Now I'm good to go.

Your original install location is probably different than mine. If you have problems finding it, Windows file manager search can help you.

See you later, I'm going back to Linux.

Hi Ricky,

What happened after you followed the instructions in the message?

Jeff

I keep pressing the retry button but it keeps popping up again? did you click on the link with the picture.

I have no idea what link you are referring to. I suggest you follow the instructions in the message for starters. Move the Android SDK folder.

You need to find where your SDK is located in Windows 8 and move the SDK folder to a different location outside of the Android Studio folder. Google wants to separate the SDK from the Android Studio tools going forward. Hope this helps.
