Android/Java

I am new to Treehouse, I originally came here to learn Java and now i see that everything Java oriented is about android app development. If i learn this, can I use the skills I learned for other Java oriented things (ie. Software and game develoupment, modding)

doing the android courses will give you a solid grasp of the java language and constructs yes. You should be able to transfer those skills to other areas of java development
