Animsition not working directly on <div> and <a> elements

In the Animsition documentation, it shows you how you can add different effects to individual divs or links. I tried this, and it is not working. The plugin continues to perform the same standard fade in/out on every page I spent more than an hour error-checking, and couldn't find anything wrong. I removed any kind of universal changes to the plugin that were there where I called it in my main JS file. Anyone have any ideas about why this might be happening?

You might check for browser compatibility. You'll need to know what properties the plug-in generates and look them up.

Otherwise, you might need to share your code and/or a link to a workspace snapshot (or jsfiddle/codepen/etc) to make a more specific analysis possible.
