Any good tutorials for making a Firefox extension?

Hi, I've been searching the internet for tutorials on how to make a Firefox extension.

I would much prefer to go through a course on Treehouse than read through a really long documentation.

I feel a bit lost on Mozilla's site because it seems there are so many different pages of information all over the place on how to make an extension.

According to here, it says:

"If you're a Web developer and know HTML, JavaScript and CSS, you already have what it takes to make great add-ons with the Add-on SDK."

And I know HTML, JavaScript and CSS, so I guess it shouldn't be too hard.

But I started going through the tutorial here and it felt like it was going to take forever to get through and there was a lot more to it than just HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Again, I find seeing something done in a video tutorial (a good one like Treehouse videos!) a much more effective way to learn than a big documentation.

Although having reread what I just wrote, I see the statement I quoted was referring to the Add-on SDK, so maybe I just started in the wrong place. But has anyone got any suggestions please?
