78,399 PointsAny Mods out there??? Maybe the "How-to Guide: Markdown within Posts" needs some updating...
I recently had to add an image to a forum thread question and I noticed that it doesn't seem to work the way that is explained in this old thread:
https://teamtreehouse.com/community/howto-guide-markdown-within-posts
Specifically adding a string in quotes after the image url doesn't seem to do anything except not make the image show up...
I copied the second syntax markdown line from the 'Images' section of the above cited "HowTo Guide" and you see what happens:
On the other hand if I copy the line from the 'Images' section of this markdown blog post:
https://blog.ghost.org/markdown/
..I can get an actual image to show up:
So I'm thinking to get the 'treehouse-blog.png' image to actually show up
(which it's not even showing up on the page for the above cited HowTo guide),
you would use the same markdown format substituting the treehouse png url in place of the url for the bird:
Hey it works!
Even though the initial image url undergoes goes some type of 'image-proxy' substitution to be sucked up into the Treehouse's CDN (Content Delivery Network)
Now maybe someone (perhaps a moderator) can update the Images section of the HowTo guide page
to actually show the treehouse png image there as well...
