Any TH course on how to take a live website and download it on the local computer

Hey guys,

I have a friend that has a live website build on a wordpress theme and now I want to take that and make a copy of it so I can develop it nicely on my local computer and then put it back on. is there any course that covers this subject on treehouse? Thanks!

Im not 100% sure, but you shoudn't be able to downolad his wordpress code because of security reasons, i guess. There are also softwares that you can downolad the website code, to some degree, i guess HTML/CSS and JS, as if you did WP again for the security reasons i believe, and it woudl be plain HTML i believe.

If you know how to make WP theme, then you could just get his HTML/CSS and JS code, and put it in WP. If you go on inspect tool and see sources or something like that, there should be the code, so you might try and downolad from that.

Why not ask for the login details? that would be easier.
