I just started learning how to do some HTML & CSS. Any ideas or tips on how to improve my skills?

Follow the TREEHOUSE videos.
Make sure you don't work through too fast or you won't retain it and you'll get frustrated. Make sure you do lots of practice 'as you go' doing things like building simple web pages once you start to take it all in.
A good idea is, after each chapter, try and write your own code using what you have learnt. You can always check the video again, or the TREEHOUSE code and the more you practice then the less you will need to check.
Don't forget you can click files and download to find the files that are connected to each video. I use notepad++ to write my code.
Good luck :-)
