Anybody need help with UI design ? (I'm volunteering)

Hi

I am unemployed and thus have a lot of spare time and would be happy help anyone with designing a web site UI or a mobile UI (I don't have any experience with mobile but I'll give it a go). It'll be strictly mockups as I don't have the skills to code currently. I design in Sketch so I won't be able to provide a .psd but I can slice up the assets and provide them in a zip file.

I don't claim to be anywhere near the professional level as I've only been learning design via books and tutorials for a few months. I'd like to help out on peoples projects as it could be mutually beneficial to both parties. I'll get a new portfolio piece and you'll (hopefully) a get a design that your happy with and can use a guide when coding up. Who knows, maybe it'll lead to some paid work for me down the line?

That are really really nice designs . What would you say to partner up ? If what I'm saying like on a website and as I'm learning making iOS apps .

To be honest I think this is where Treehouse is lacking but design is a huge subject and it would be quite a large undertaking if they went that route.

My advice would be to get a book called 'The non designers design book', it's a gives a nice basis to learning some basic principles. After that I would dive deeper on subjects like typography, grids, colour theory etc. You can also look at designs on Dribbble and take inspiration from them and also try to understand why they look good.
