Apache Cassandra

im interested in this technology and i find dificult to understand it (cause all my life used sql data bases), but since all in the internet is leading to social networks, web services, etc etc etc we must learn something difrent to sql dbs scheme wich is not optimized for big data like cassandra or other nosql (not all) data bases. i mean, its used by facebook, twitter, ebay, and a lot of big internet-based companys. what do you think? wouldn't it be cool ????

I concur, it would be nice to have something about Cassandra & Apache family, such as Storm, Spark, Hadoop, Hive etc.
