Apache with xamp doesnt work

Hi guys, don't know if i can ask this here. But i try to use sublime text editor 3 with xamp. But when i try to start apache i get this error: This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies, improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method. Press the logs button to view error logs and check the windows even viewer for more clues.

I checked bios and it was pin number 4 what is using port 80. And that is system memory and compressed memory. How can i fix this problem so i can start apache at xamp?

Hi Lotte,

I use XAMPP v3.2.1 to access Apache on ports 80 and 443. Maybe you need to access that one too.

Also do you have Skype running too? This uses the same default ports as XAMPP and it may be causing a conflict blocin your connection. :-)

Thanks.

If you have skype running. Turn it off and try starting xampp again. If that works, you can alter the php port to not conflict with skype, or just restart skype after PHP is running (this seems to work for me).

Thanks guys. I finally fixed the problem. It wasn't skype i dont have that on my pc. I changed the port number for apache. It works now!
