App too much like web page

I created and an app that had all links. Apple rejected it and said I couldn't have all web links in an app. I revised it using 14 buttons. 10 of them were linked to a view in the app with information regarding our organization. The other 4 were uiwebviews linking to data such as calendar, website, giving and streaming. Apple said it looked too much like a web site and could not be an app. How does a business (in this case a church) provide important information in the palm of our users hand, without "looking like a web site." I am really not understanding Apple's decision. Can anyone help?

Hi Glenn,

Apple's review process can miss some things but in general if an app doesn't use any native features of iOS that would be at least aided by a downloaded app then Apple may reject your app as being better suited as a web app (website). Isn't there anything you might want to provide the users of your app that's going beyond a websites functionality like e.g. at least a route planner to the church's location?

Can you provide some pictures of the app's UI? Maybe this way you can get some better tips&hints from the community.

Here's the goal of my app: I need our members to be able to give from their phone, watch the live or on demand stream from the phone, and view our calendar from the phone. I also included several Bible references pages such as bible verses on healing, some general information about the church's beliefs etc. I could include maps as you suggested. What other IOS features can I use to get this app approved? I am so new to this that I really am clueless!
