appGyver and mobile app development

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has any experience with mobile frameworks such as appGyvers steroids or supersonic framework vs phonegap. I'll be starting a mobile project soon and just looking at what would be a good framework to start with. It would be a basic project so just wondering if any one has any experience with these.

Additionally, I'm not sure if i need android sdk installed for steroids or even whats the difference between steroids and supersonic, is supersonic a framework within then what is steroids? http://www.appgyver.com/
