2,257 PointsAre any of you guys blogging about your coding journey?
Hi guys and gals
I'm thinking about blogging about learning to code in the hope that it will at least help me retain knowledge and build an online presence.
I'm reluctant to do it because I know that I'm not in the position to build my own blog without using a template? Does that matter?
Are any of you blogging about your learning?
If you are do you have any advice? Could you post a link to your own blog please?

23,118 PointsSean, you should totally blog about your experiences learning!! First you don't need to build your own blog, that's why there's WordPress. If I were you I would start blogging about some of the things you have learned here and try to expand upon them, create your own examples instead of the ones on Treehouse. I just started working on my WP site and once its up and running I'll also be blogging about what I have learned so far. Its a great way to get your web presence out there and to help other people too! so I think its a win win. GO for It!

2,257 PointsCheers Jeff. The only thing putting me off is the thought of using a template and looking like a fraud. But I think you're right, I'm overthinking it.
I'm going to set something up over the weekend.

14,268 PointsI would definitely follow your journey of learning to code. This would be awesome.
Don't worry about using a template, as you learn you'll customize it and eventually you'll be able to launch a non-template version (maybe for blog post #100!).
I've never blogged but my advice would be to just do it. Don't worry about posts being perfect, don't worry about your code being 100% best practice and perfect, don't worry about your content being interesting enough. Just create and people will listen.
