3,760 PointsAre frameworks like Bootstrap a requirement?
I have to build a simple 2 column website for my friend who is a professional photographer. Basically one column for the navigation, then the rest of the page is for photos. Some views the photo will take up the whole page, border to border.
Would using a framework like Bootstrap be beneficial for developing this? Should I always be using a framework?
Thanks!

11,403 PointsLook into CSS3 flexbox, i believe it solves the problem bootstrap generally does without needing to float everything. Be careful though and understand your client working environment needs, if they use old version of IE and its required then flexbox may not be the right solution, though i have seen people fallback with percentage.

Treehouse Project ReviewerFrameworks are not a requirement, but they definitely can be very helpful. Once you know how to use them, they can save you a lot of time. My concern before I started learning bootstrap was that my sites would look just like everyone else's sites, but that just isn't the case. So far I'm loving using a framework. :-)

16,250 PointsAlthough its not necessary, it will be beneficial as it has a lot of pre built styles that makes building the website much faster plus the framework has been tested on all major browsers. personally i use bootstrap as it take much less time to build a site but its all about your preference.
