I don't know of any data sets that ship as SQL files, but there's a lot of data sets you can get from the Data.gov site, and then load into a database from a CSV file.
If you don't find any data sets there that intrigue you, you can find lots by searching for "open data" in Google/Yahoo, or look through a topical site site like a sub-reddit.
