are there videos on following along with VS instead of the workspaces?

would like to follow along the How to make your own website video series on VS for retaining knowledge and usability in the future.

There are not currently any tracks or lessons for html/css + web development featuring Visual Studio, in my knowledge.

However, you can first familiarize yourself with the Visual Studio interface by watching YouTube videos such as this one and then download the project files from the lessons in Team Treehouse, and follow along from there. Or, you can sign up for a free trial on Lynda.com and check out their visual studio courses.

If you'd like my recommendation, I think it would be easier to follow the first couple lessons or sections in Workspaces, as it is very simple and intuitive, and then apply your knowledge in more complex and powerful IDEs like Visual Studio. :-)
