array challenge

The orderQueue array contains a list of customer orders. Create a new variable named shipping -- remove the first item from the array and place it in the shipping variable.

var orderQueue = ['1XT567437','1U7857317','1I9222528']; var shipping =[]; orderQueue.shift(); shipping.push('1XT567437');

what am i doing wrong here can someone please help?

When the instructions said "Create a new variable named shipping", they meant a scalar (not an array) variable.

And instead of duplicating the static literal value, see if you can use the actual value stored in the array to assign the new variable.

The shipping variable should be a simple variable and not an array.

i.e. var shipping = orderQueue.shift()
