Array to string conversion in index.php on line 12

I have tried everything, not quite sure what i am doing wrong.

Hi Hunter! I don't think your array is set up correctly. This should get you headed in the right direction.

$contacts = array(['name' => 'Alena Holligan',
    'email' => 'alena.holligan@teamtreehouse.com' ],
    ['name' => 'Dave McFarland',
        'email' => 'dave.mcfarland@teamtreehouse.com'],
    ['name' => 'Treasure Porth',
        'email' => 'treasure.porth@teamtreehouse.com'],
    ['name' => 'Andrew Chalkley',
        'email' => 'andrew.chalkley@teamtreehouse.com']);

No, my arrays were correct. it was the lack of curly braces.

echo "<li> {$contacts[0]['name']} : {$contacts[0]['email']}</li>\n";
