Asking for Smartphone Advice

I don't currently own a smartphone and I'm planning on purchasing one and continue learning from Treehouse while I have some downtime at work.

I welcome any suggestions for inexpensive phones. Which one will be the best to access Treehouse.

My provider is T-mobile.
