Hi Theodore. To make a string uppercase use the .toUpperCase() method with the string you want to change to uppercase listed before the ".".

For example, to change your lastName var to uppercase the code is:

var lastName = "Smith";
lastName.toUpperCase();     //this will output "SMITH" (without changing the variable lastName)
