atr_accessible doesn't exist at all in user.rb

Follow instructions but when I go to user.rb, the atr_accessible string isn't there at all - not even a string containing the default email (etc) values.

Should I create it somewhere else? When I submit a new user, the additional user names come up as nil in the rails console.

Hey Thomas Cawthorn! That's because the videos use an older version of Rails. If you'd like to following along using that particular version, you'll need to do the following:

gem install rails --version=3.2.18

Then create the project this way:

rails _3.2.18_ new treebook

That will allow you to following along with the videos. If you'd like to use the current version of rails, try checking out Build a Todo List Application with Rails 4.
