Attr_Accessible error in Treebook App

Hi I am attempting to edit my user sign up information but when I installed devise and go to my user.rb in my models folder and look to edit the attr_accessible part there is nothing there, and when I add it in i get an error stating that I need to use strong_params?

Please look into your Gemfile and tell me which version is stated in the gem "rails" line.
