1,274 PointsAVD emulator not launching
I hit start and then launch, it does the quick pop up with the loading blue bar, but then the android emulator window never pops up. I started this course on a pc and it worked fine, but starting over on a macbook now and am getting stuck here.

Courses Plus Student 6,573 PointsI had similar issues until I switched to the recommended Genymotion:

EDIT: I am on a Macbook as well.

30,164 PointsI am stuck on creating a new AVD on the AVD Manager, the message being that there are no images available for the CPU (and this stops me from proceeding!) however in the treehouse video lesson plans this issue does not show up. Here is reference to what I am trying to point at (https://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-a-simple-android-app/getting-started-with-android/android-setup-and-the-crystal-ball-project-2) at the 12:40 mark.

30,164 Pointshey perez did you happen to get stuck before or after creating an AVD with the aid of the instructor's video lesson

1,274 PointsI created the Android44 AVD how the video showed, I then selected it, hit start, and then launch on the following popup, and the emulator never appeared.

30,164 Pointsso the same device name or options were available to you such as Device, Target and CPU?

1,274 Pointsyeah everything's the same as in the video, did you unzip the package and then run the initial setup script?, after that you're not suppose to move the unzipped folder, if so you have to run the setup script again....I'm not sure if that's the problem, but that's only thing I can think of this early on into the training.

30,164 Pointsthere was no initial.setup script available for me, as there was in the video, but i did move the unzipped folder someplace else so I will try reinstalling
