AVD problem

I am trying to create a avd for android 4.4 and this keeps popping up - [2014-04-01 12:59:17 - SDK Manager] Error: null can someone explain what that means and what I need to do to fix it.

Will it let you create the AVD, or does this error show when you try to start it?

It shows when I try to create a AVD. After I finish filling in all the boxes and click ok in the AVD creator that error pops up.
