AWS vs VPS/Dedicated hosting?

When come to choosing hosting, if we have an web app with growing data base, is AWS perform better and has significant performance compare to VPS or Dedicated hosting provided by server company like Bluehost? Server like AWS dont have a GUI, so it is not recommended for beginner?

You can start with something smaller and then move to something bigger like aws depending on how knowledgable and cost conscious you are. Vps and aws require admin skills as well to maintain your servers. One solution that I have found good to start with especially price wise is amazon lightsail.
