Background image covering all background on left until 4 columns ?

Hi, I want to have a background image on the first 4 lefts columns of Bootstrap but overlapping the container all the way to the left. What is the best way to achieve that ?

On the 8 remaining columns on the right there will be my content.

Without seeing your code, my first thought is to apply the background to the enclosing container and make the image size combined with background-repeat: no-repeat constrain it to just the left side.

But this might not serve your condition of "overlapping the container all the way to the left". For that, you might need to apply the background to an absolutely-positioned element under the row.

That was my first reflex, but it dosent align to the fourt column exactly : s
