What to do when highlighting not working?

Without seeing you html + css I can only guess, but it could be that you forgot to put a semi-colon after one of your property values.

Code from index.html <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Joni Carlson | Designer</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="ccs/normalize.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="ccs/main.css"> </head>

Code from main.css body { background-color: orange; }

Unlike video, the words background-color are not highlighted. I played around with it and apparently, my main.css is not linked to my index.html. I doubled checked the spelling, the font size, and the file structure. All are exactly like the video.
