What to do when highlighting not working?

Without seeing you html + css I can only guess, but it could be that you forgot to put a semi-colon after one of your property values.

Unlike video, the words background-color are not highlighted. I played around with it and apparently, my main.css is not linked to my index.html. I doubled checked the spelling, the font size, and the file structure. All are exactly like the video.
