i don't understand what is wrong with my code i am getting and error to make sure "steelblue" is my first position

Hey there,

You've pretty much got it, and the error message is very misleading. The problem actually has nothing to do with the colors. Here, the minor issue is the direction of your gradient. With directions, you only specify the "to", so you don't need the "from"

So, instead of linear-gradient(bottom to top... ) you need linear-gradient(to top... )
