-bash: ng: command not found

After installing angular/cli and typing ng I see the following message:

-bash: ng: command not found

How do I fix this?

Did you install it globally (with the "-g" option)? If not, re-install with that option.

yes I did, I have tried uninstalling it and reinstall it but still get the same problem.
